Martial Arts

Hey, it's Austin again. I would like to tell you a couple tips that I use to work out. When I work out, lifting weights or cardio, I do a kind of lifting that is called "pyramid lifting". Pyramid lifting is when you start off with low weights, and work your way up to your max. Once you reach your max, take a 5 minute break. After that 5 minute break, start working your way down from your max again, but this time, go a little bit slower than before. Doing this works the lactic acid out of your muscles. When you lift, your muscles give off lactic acid. When you lift smaller weights, it helps to work it out. After lifting, that is the cause of being sore is due to a lactic acid build-up. Its not harmful, just sometimes uncomfortable. Also, the number one way to get a cardio workout is to use your own body weight against yourself. Such as chin-ups, pushups, sit-ups, leg lifts and holds, up-downs, and mercy's. Mercy's are when you have to drop down, do 5 push-ups, get up, do 5 chin-ups, and drop again and do 5 sit-ups. This may not sound like a difficult task, but try it for yourself. I will be posting another blog soon. I hope you can benefit from this
